Spiced Butter Muffins

Makes 4 1/2 dozen, 2 oz muffins

Ingredients

Muffins
  • 5 lb (full box) Krusteaz Professional® All Purpose Muffin Mix 734-0120
  • 40 fl oz (5 cups) water
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp mace
Topping
  • 7 oz (1 cup) sugar
  • 1/4 oz (1 Tbsp) cinnamon
  • 6 oz (3/4 cup) butter, melted

Method

  1. For muffins, place Krusteaz Professional All Purpose Muffin Mix, water, nutmeg and mace in mixer bowl.
  2. Using a paddle, mix on low speed 30 seconds. Scrape bowl.
  3. Continue to mix on low speed 30 seconds.
  4. Using #20 scoop, fill prepared muffin pans.
  5. For convection oven, bake at 350°F 12-14 minutes; for standard oven, bake at 400°F 16-18 minutes.
  6. For topping, stir together sugar and cinnamon in small bowl until blended.
  7. While muffins are warm from the oven, dip top of each muffin in melted butter followed by sugar and cinnamon mixture.
