Cherry Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 7 lb, 1 oz (12 cups) cherry pie filling
  • 5 lb (full box) Krusteaz Professional® Buttermilk Biscuit Mix 734-0320
  • 36 fl oz (4 1/2 cups) water
  • 11 oz (1 1/2 cups) sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 2-3 tsp granulated sugar (optional)

Method

  1. Spread cherry pie filling into prepared 24 x 16 x 1-inch sheet pan.
  2. Place Krusteaz Professional Buttermilk Biscuit Mix, water, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in mixer bowl.
  3. Using a paddle, mix on low speed 1 minute.
  4. Scrape bowl and paddle. Continue to mix on low speed for an additional 1 minute.
  5. Using #16 scoop, scale dough into 54 equal portions over cherry pie filling. Sprinkle with sugar before baking, if desired.
  6. For convection oven, bake at 300°F 25-30 minutes; for standard oven, bake at 350°F 35-40 minutes. Serve with whipped topping, if desired.
